Exercise #1:

When Looking at the homepage of NIU there are some things that I am pleased about. The accessibility to all things such as blackboard, mystudentcenter, and even the student email are all located under a quick links tab. It makes it very easy to find what you’re looking for, and as a student here, it was very important to me. The website is very cleas on many things, if you want to find the mission statement of out school, all you have to do is search it and it will state what it is:
“The vision of Northern Illinois University is to be the premier student-centered, research-focused public university in the Midwest, contributing to the advancement of knowledge for the benefit of the people of the region, the state, the nation, and the world.With this vision, the mission of the University is to promote excellence and engagement in teaching and learning, research and scholarship, creativity and artistry, and outreach and service” (NIU).
Lastly the professional appearance is great because when you go to the website, the first thing that you see is the school logo in the top hand corner (so you know you’re in the right place). Then it has links to various things depending on what you are looking for which helps people not want to leave the site in frustration!

Documentary Project Reflection

While watching the documentary, I felt a very strong attachment to the film that in most parts I had to pause and take a breath. How to Parallel Park

Growing up, I have always been the driver for my family and friends because I enjoyed driving. But there was one thing missing from my driving experience that I did not know until I had to take my driving test. I did not know how to parallel park. So when Asked by my test giver, I had to admit that my instructor never told me how to parallel park. I did pass my test, but I want to make sure that more people know before it is too late. Step one: The first step in parallel parking is to drive around the city/town to find a perfect place to practice parallel park. Once you find that perfect spot—preferably with not too many cars around—you will start by checking your rearview mirror to make sure that there is no oncoming traffic from the rear.
