Chapter 2 Exercises
Chapter 2:
Exercise 1:
If I were to find an ad on the local news website and it stated that the employer was looking for a full-time employee. I would still apply to the job but I would not hide the fact that I would be going back to school because it is not ethical to hide the fact that you will only be able to work for a couple of months. There could be a chance that you could be hired while they look for a replacement employee, or they could just deny their request. There is no way around this because you can’t take a full-time position and quit 3 months later because you have to go back to school. So no matter what you have to relay that information to a future employer.
Exercise 2:
I believe that you should support the bookstore in its idea of getting these books. This could be a good profit for the school and to make a good donation of a thousand dollars—since that is the expected yearly profit of ten thousand dollars. It would be a good investment that could help the school, and you would be on the list of investors that contributed to the books which would make the committee look good.
