Chapter 4 Document Analysis:

1.      I believe that the tone is too informal, like the commenter is familiar with the author. I don’t think they should use such informal language. For example, the commentator says “Huh? What does this exactly mean?”. The commentator should get rid of the “Huh” because that is very informal language, and it could make the author feel inadequate. 2.      I think the collaborator addresses the larger issues perfectly, because he wants to make sure that the readers will understand the author. Which is a big issue in my eyes, but again he needs to rethink the language that they are using. 3.      The collaborator does a sufficient job at addressing the writing because they want to make sure that the writing is able to connect with the audience, which is the main concern with the writing. 4.      The collaborator focuses on the goal by asking questions that would lead the elaboration of the topic...

Chapter 2 Exercises

Chapter 2: Exercise 1:             If I were to find an ad on the local news website and it stated that the employer was looking for a full-time employee. I would still apply to the job but I would not hide the fact that I would be going back to school because it is not ethical to hide the fact that you will only be able to work for a couple of months. There is no way around this because you can’t take a full-time position and quit 3 months later because you have to go back to school. So no matter what you have to relay that information to a future employer. Exercise 2:              I believe that you should support the bookstore in its idea of getting these books. This could be a good profit for the school and to make a good donation of a thousand dollar...

Documentary Project Reflection

I would really like to go see the great barrier reef but I am now afraid that it will soon not be there. This film was amazing, and I have watched it ten times since the assignment was assigned.             One thing that did surprise me was near the end of the documentary when they got a call that the coral had been doing something weird, I did not expect what I saw. The amazing, vibrant colors of the coral shocked me because I have never seen coral that color unless it was spray-painted in a novelty store. Even the...
